As a young writer having seen 16 summers, it is my privilege to present ‘Musings of My Mind,’ an uplifting book of poetry, I've penned over 8 years. This compendium of poems & songs weaved with my thoughts, emotions & experiences were chronicled through the age of 8 to 16. It is a ‘coming of age’ narrative, sweetened through the lens of innocence and a labour of love that transcends childhood to teens.
While the poems have a classic touch of rhyme & rhythm in a storytelling style children will love, the range of topics is quite contemporary that will resonate with them. Some will tickle their funny bone, some will tug their heart, some will have them shed a tear and some will put them in deep thought.
And it was a high honor indeed when a former teacher of mine, described my poems as 'LIFE LESSONS IN A CAPSULE FOR CHILDREN.'

what inspired me to write poetry?
As a young adult of 16, I allude to myself as a part-time dreamer & writer, while pursuing studies full-time. This journey started on my 6th birthday, when my mother gifted a picture book of poems. It sparked my imagination and opened my eyes to a whole new world of poetry that evoked a spectrum of emotions. Since then, I’ve always found it fascinating how poets craft their feelings & thoughts into words in such a unique manner to captivate us, and I wondered if I, too, could do the same.
Soon enough, I started toying with rhyming words in my mind and got onto jotting down anything that piqued my curiosity. It began with creating sillies and couplets, then came limericks and poems and eventually songs, blending my passion for music and piano. And these poetic musings spanning a diverse range of contemporary themes, scribbled on notebooks, napkins, newspapers, over 8 years, carefully preserved by my mom, is what I share in this book, with the hope of making your day a little better. My poems would be best enjoyed when it is read aloud to experience its rhyme & rhythm.
I call myself an ‘accidental’ author and believe any poetry book is a collectors item. It is timeless, soulful and each time, poems can be read with a fresh perspective. So come, enjoy the most beautiful expression of any language - poetry.
I'm ethnically a Malayali who has lived in different parts of India. I enjoy sports and had the honor to play various games at the regional and national level. Trying out different cuisines & hiking with Cuddles, my pet beagle is a favorite past-time of mine .
